" Nearly 70% of the Australian population use Complementary & Alternative Medicine (CAM)1" Alternative Medicine
More Australian women are starting to take their health into their own hands. It's time to start thinking about how you can best support your body's fertility from all angles.
Trying to conceive can be full of physical, emotional, mental & even spiritual challenges. It can challenge you on every level, so the best way to work with these challenges is through a complementary approach to your health. Science cannot explain some types of infertility & because the contributing factors to infertility (or sub-fertility) are varied, it's time to start thinking outside the box.
If you have been on the roller-coaster ride of trying to conceive, you may already be taking vitamins, have visited your GP for a check-up to make sure everything is working 'down there', and cleaned up your diet and lifestyle. You may already be heading down the path of Assisted Reproductive Techniques (ART) such as IVF or are contemplating them to assist you to conceive.
Unfortunately for some, trying to have a baby can be an experience that seems to take forever, one that feels lonely, anxious, and accompanied by feelings of grief, jealousy, resentment, sadness, anger, or frustration at themselves or their partner (or both) especially if your dreams of having a family just aren't happening.
Heading to work and seeing the pregnant lady on the train, socialising with friends who have babies, going to baby showers, and getting your period each month can be filled with difficult emotions that are sometimes hard to deal with. It can be really frustrating when it seems like everyone around you has a stork that just drops a baby on their doorstep, while nothing seems to happen for you.
Struggling with infertility can be one of the hardest things a couple can face in their lives. Often when there is nothing medically 'wrong' it can make things even more frustrating.
When either of you (or both!) have an existing medical condition, you still want to make sure you've got the best chances working with what you have been given as well!
With more couples turning to IVF to help them become parents, with the huge out of pocket expense involved, pressure on each cycle's outcome, and a mounting emotional toll, this is the ideal time where complementary therapies can be of real benefit to you.
You don't have to go it alone, you have support right here with Heart Space Fertility.
